Way To Blue expands senior leadership team with the promotion of Rebecca Winch to Managing Director
Formerly UK Business Lead and Group Head of Creative and Production, Rebecca has been at the agency for over five years, and has been instrumental in developing a true 360-degree offering for Way To Blue, generating more effective, fully integrated campaigns and better value for clients.
Bringing 12 years of experience in TV production when she first joined the company, Rebecca has established a wide production offering, including on-set capture, behind-the-scenes content and both long and short-form production. This expertise has allowed Way To Blue to work across some of the UK’s most well-known titles, such as Downton Abbey and The Last Kingdom.
These projects are the tip of the iceberg. Rebecca has expanded Way To Blue’s sector verticals from pure film to include TV, gaming and streaming clients, winning new business from Sky TV, Deep Silver, Cy Games, Laika, and IMAX. She’s also overseen Way to Blue’s stand-out work on the UK theatrical launch of Spiderman No Way Home and SEGA events with Sonic Frontiers.
One of Rebecca’s objectives as Managing Director, UK, is to nurture the next generation of marketeers, building on work she has already started in the wake of the pandemic. She has been expanding the team to encourage company growth, with a focus on building diversity – both through employment and through partnerships with Creative Access for internships.
Speaking about her appointment, Rebecca Winch said: “I’m delighted to have been appointed Managing Director for Way To Blue, and I’m looking forward to continuing the agency’s growth trajectory and nurturing our incredible team to enable them to be the best they can be. With a brilliant team, fully-integrated offering and buckets of creativity, we will be able to deliver great results for our clients.”
Paul Summers, Chief Operating Officer at Miroma Group, added, “In her five years with Way to Blue, Rebecca has driven the agency from strength to strength, bringing new elements to our offerings and ensuring that we can deliver the ingenuity and originality needed to cut through the crowded landscape and add value for clients. Her expertise and commitment will continue to be invaluable, and we are excited to see where she will take Way to Blue over the coming years.”
Way To Blue is part of global independent marketing business, Miroma Group, joining the group in November 2018.
